Meredith Irby, LCSW
Co-Owner, Chief Executive Officer
Meredith Kinsey Irby is a Licensed Certified Social Worker who has been practicing since 2011. She has gained valuable experience in the field of social work and mental health services, and has worked with a broad range of clients.

Meredith has experience working with children ages five and up, adults, and families. She has also practiced as a medical and oncology social worker prior to receiving her master’s degree. Meredith received her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in May of 2014 and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Arkansas in May of 2011. Throughout her practice as a social worker, she has had several successes and positive reports of her practice from current and former clients.

Meredith is EMDR and TF-CBT trained and specializes in working with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in the community.
Chukwuma Ekeh, LCSW

My name is Chukwuma Ekeh, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an advocate for mental health. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work. I have worked in the mental health arena serving different populations - but focused on underprivileged populations - for over 10 years. My goal in opening A Better You Therapeutic Solutions was to make sure quality mental health services are provided to those who need it most. Not only do we focus on decreasing issues related to mental health, but we focus on developing people. We want every person who walks through our doors to leave better than when they came.
Brittney Davis, LCSW

Ms. Brittney Davis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing for 13 years.

Ms. Davis has experience in both outpatient and school-based services. She has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has provided services for clients who have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. She has a bachelor's and master’s degree in social work.

Ms. Davis's goal is to provide her clients with a safe space to be vulnerable and work through life's challenges.

She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. She is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behaviors and Motivational Interviewing.

Ashley Dodson, LMSW

As a dedicated professional with a multifaceted educational background and a fervent commitment to empowering individuals, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my role. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Management from Philander Smith College, I gained a solid foundation in strategic planning, leadership, and organizational behavior.

Building upon this foundation, I pursued my passion for social work by obtaining a Master's of Social Work from the University of Texas in Arlington in 2021. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) currently working towards obtaining my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) credential, I am equipped with the knowledge and skills to address a diverse range of mental health challenges.

My professional journey has been guided by a profound passion for supporting and mentoring young girls. I am deeply committed to helping individuals overcome the barriers posed by everyday issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. Through my work, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and cultivate resilience.

With a holistic approach to mental health and well-being, I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those I serve. By combining my expertise in business administration with my clinical skills in social work, I am uniquely positioned to effect meaningful change and facilitate personal growth and empowerment.
Robert Irby, LCSW

Robert Irby is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Little Rock, AR. He holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Bachelor of Social Work from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Mr. Irby has over ten years of experience in social work and mental health services, and has worked with a wide range of populations. He has a love and passion for working with young people through sports and athletic training, and likes to incorporate this into his mental health practice. In his free time, Mr. Irby enjoys training young athletes and coaching community sports.

Tiarra Lee is a dedicated therapist with a Master's degree from Walden University, received in November 2023. Tiarra obtained her Bachelor of Science with a minor in Psychology in 2011. Tiarra has a history of working in the mental health field for over 12 years. Her passion lies in working with clients of all ages, providing compassionate care and support. Tiarra specializes in helping individuals dealing with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Tiarra believes in creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their emotions and work toward healing and growth. She is committed to positively impacting the lives of those she serves. Tiarra aims “to empower clients to achieve personal growth, resilience, and well-being through compassionate and effective therapeutic interventions."

I have been dedicated to the helping profession for over 15 years in various roles. My passion for relationships and their profound impact on the healing process has always been my driving force. Through my life experiences, I have developed a keen ability to recognize the patterns that most individuals encounter on their journey. As a Licensed Master Social Worker and an experienced Addiction Counselor, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, groups, and families from all age groups in a variety of settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, schools, acute care, substance abuse, and medical (renal) care. My extensive experience in providing counseling and therapy services to individuals and families who are struggling with various life challenges has given me immense pleasure. Nothing brings me greater joy than to be able to assist others in improving their relationships and enhancing the overall quality of their daily experiences. It is an honor to be able to support individuals through their toughest times and help them find the strength and resilience needed to overcome their challenges. LaShonda Norfolk, LAC

LaShonda Norfolk is a Licensed Associate Counselor from Tennessee. She graduated with her master’s in Counselor Education in 2019 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is passionate about serving children, teens, and young adults.

LaShonda began her career as a School Counselor before transitioning to an outpatient clinic serving school and office-based clients. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, disruptive behavior, self-esteem, school issues, and ADHD.
Ashley Rose, Psy.D

Dr. Ashley L. Rose earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the American School of Psychology at Argosy University, Washington, D.C. in 2018. During her residency at Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center (Joint Base Andrews, MD), Dr. Rose worked with Active Duty Service Members and their families on a variety of mental health concerns. She has extensive experience providing treatment for depression, anxiety, grief, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, TBI, and many others.

Prior to joining the team at A Better You, Dr. Rose was a commissioned officer with the United States Air Force and most recently served as an Active Duty Psychologist at Little Rock Air Force Base. She has insight into the specific challenges faced by those who serve our country and has a passion for working with service members, veterans, and their families. As a mother of three, Dr. Rose also understands the unique stressors associated with parenting in today’s society (regardless of military status). She is dedicated to helping clients – along with their children and families – find strategies that will optimize well-being in this fast-paced world.

Dr. Rose approaches therapy from a biopsychosocial perspective and recognizes that there is no “one size fits all” treatment modality. As such, she strives to understand all factors that may be impacting a client’s functioning, and works with each client to develop an appropriate plan, whether it be Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or something else. Dr. Rose enjoys working with clients of all ages and offers individual, family, school-based, and group therapy.
Shelia Sanders, LMSW

Shelia Sanders is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 18 years of professional experience. During these years of practice she has operated in various roles, including but not limited to, Clinic Coordinator, Behavioral Specialist Coordinator, Lead Therapist, Parent, Community and School Liaison and Home Study Provider/Writer.

As a provider Shelia has worked with children ages 5-19, families and adults providing individual, family and group therapy. Shelia has a wealth of experience dealing with Major Depression Disorder, Generalize Anxiety Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder.

Shelia is passionate about working with children and adolescent females who have experienced sexual trauma or trafficking and survivors of domestic violence. As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated Shelia also works to help bring awareness to mental health and legal injustice suffered by this population.
